Meet Tilly - The Little Polar Bear with a Big Canadian Heart
If you’ve spent any time around Polar Boutique, you’ve likely met Tilly - our curious little polar bear in her red toque and suitcase full of snacks.
She’s not just adorable (though those tiny paws melt hearts). Tilly is brave, playful, and endlessly curious. Everywhere she goes, Tilly reminds us to slow down and find joy in the everyday. Maybe that’s why she feels so real - she’s a reflection of our own curious, kind, snack-loving selves.
Tilly loves exploring Canada and saying hello to her friends — the moose, bear, Canada goose, beaver, puffin, and plenty more. She has a knack for connecting people, animals, and places in the most unexpected ways. You can meet more of her friends (and a few surprises) over at PolarBoutique.ca
Here’s a glimpse of 18 Canadian destinations she’s wandered to - in no particular order … because that’s just how Tilly rolls.
Capilano Suspension Bridge
Tilly tiptoed across the Capilano Suspension Bridge, gripping her little red toque as the trees swayed below in the BC breeze.
Vancouver Cherry Blossoms
In Vancouver, Tilly twirled beneath the cherry blossoms, pretending every falling petal was a snowflake.
Tilly the Cowgirl, Rockies
Tilly the Cowgirl saddled up in the Rockies, tried on a tiny cowboy hat in Calgary, and let out her best “yee-haw” — though it sounded more like a polite “eh.”
Tilly Rockies Saddled Up
At the foot of the Rockies, Tilly saluted the mounted police, then asked where she could get her own red jacket.
Lake Louise, Alta
Tilly gazed into the turquoise waters of Lake Louise and wondered if polar bears could paddleboard.
Awed by the Yukon Northern Lights
Under the Yukon sky, Tilly watched the northern lights dance and whispered, “this is better than cartoons.”
Prairie Canola Fields
Tilly rolled through golden canola fields in the Prairies, convinced she could smell pancakes in the wind.
Ottawa, Tulips
Ottawa’s tulips didn’t just bloom — they showed off. Tilly stood still, soaking it all in, glad she waited.
Canoeing Algonquin
Tilly paddled quietly through Algonquin by moonlight, her little canoe gliding softly while an owl hooted somewhere in the trees — like a lullaby just for her.
Watching the Blue Jays
Tilly cheered from the stands, tiny glove in paw and dreaming of catching her very first foul ball.
Niagara Falls
Tilly squinted up at Niagara Falls and said, “No way I’m walking that rope… unless there’s hot chocolate on the other side.”
Wining in Niagara Wine Region
In Niagara-on-the-Lake, Tilly sniffed every flower, found a theatre program, and declared herself “a polar bear of culture.”
Quebec City Hockey
In Quebec City, Tilly hit the ice with her tiny stick and skates — dreaming of scoring the winning goal.
Shediac, NB
Tilly posed proudly with the giant lobster in Shediac, thinking, “Finally, someone here bigger than me.”
Hartland Bridge NB
Tilly tiptoed across the Hartland Covered Bridge, looking for trolls — or at least a snack stand halfway across.
Curling Summerside
Tilly tried curling in Summerside and quickly learned the broom wasn’t for flying, but for sweeping politely.
Peggy’s Cove, NS
At Peggy’s Cove, Tilly slurped mussels with a sea breeze in her fur and a lighthouse in her view.
Jellybean Row NFLD
On Jellybean Row in St. John’s, Tilly blended right in — except she was the only one wearing a bucket hat and sniffing for snacks.

💬 Closing Thought
Tilly reminds us that you don’t have to go far to find magic.
Sometimes it’s as close as your backyard, your journal, or the person you share cocoa with.
